GIF Mania turns a living room into a game show: a question on the TV (or a laptop on the coffee table), everyone answers with the perfect GIF from their phone, and the room votes — anonymously — for the winner.
A whole round, acted out — it loops by itself, or tap the steps. Ten questions ≈ half an hour, gloating included.
The setup is whatever the room has
A TV with a browser, a laptop on the table, a projector on a bedsheet — anything that can show a web page becomes the stage, and phones do the rest. From "someone says let's play" to the first question is about two minutes: the host writes questions (or hits Surprise me), friends type a PIN, done.
Your group chat's humor, out loud
The questions are yours, and that's the whole trick: "Roi's driving, in one GIF" · "the last group trip, summarized" · "my honest reaction to this friend group". Inside jokes hit harder with an audience. Think Cards Against Humanity energy — except the cards are the entire GIF universe and the deck is about your friends.
Birthdays, send-offs, reunions
The best birthday version isn't a birthday theme — it's questions about the birthday person. "Dana meeting a deadline" · "Dana's texting style" · "Dana at 2am". How many people can play?
4–20 per game. Sweet spot for a friends night: 5–10.
Do players need an app or an account?
No — open a link, type the PIN, pick a name. Only the host has an account.
Is it free?
Yes — hosting and playing are free, for everyone in the room.
Can we make it spicier — or cleaner?
The humor level is set by your questions and your friends. GIF search filters out the truly explicit by default, and the host can flip kid-friendly mode when the room calls for it.
Do we need a TV?
No — any screen everyone can see works, a laptop included. With a TV or projector it turns into a proper game show.
Can far-away friends join the same game?
Yes — share the stage screen over any video call and they join by PIN like everyone else.
